92 into a 86 ??

g,day fellas, just wondering does a 92 gsxr 1100 clutch basket go into an 86 ??

so you want to go from coil spring clutch to diaphram?

i have seen this done before on OSS, UKlee wrote an article on the process.

but

looking on the parts fische the coil spring (86) clutch basket/crank driven gear is 73 teeth where as the diaphram (92)clutch basket/crank driven gear is 72 teeth. 1 tooth dosn't sound much but it will fuck your crank gear pretty quick as they wont be meshed properly.

like i said it have been done so maybe the parts fische has the tooth count wrong?

actually i was looking at getting a lock up and he is throwing in the basket and plates with it, so i thought hmmmm, wonder if they fit my 86.
