This may be a little soft for some of you guys but let me share something with you all.

As most of you know Ive been around the traps for a number of years but for the last little while I've been riding Harleys and been wrapped up in clubs.
With a rather vicious slap to the face my eyes have been opened to what a stupid farce the 'club' scene really is.
If your a 1%'er at least you had to earn it and have an avid interest in the brotherhood etc (All legal shit aside OK!) But at a social level its just a world of wannabies and childish bullshit.

Admittedly I was taken in thinking there was a direction there for me but after all the bullshit, lies and slander that comes from simply been a bloke under 40 that has a Harley amongst a group where the next youngest bloke is 40... Man what a bunch of knobs.

So feeling a little guilty for leaving I have to conceed in all my 20+ years of living bikes, nothing comes close to Streetfighters and the mad bastard's and bastette's that ride them.
Its the purest form of riding in a fad driven world. A group where you speak with your skill as builder no matter how limited your builds have been, and as riders who I can testify are some of the best Ive had the pleasure of sharing the road with.

As I was cutting the patches off my vest I had a new ASF patch my wife had gotten when she became a member, but then I had a thought and tore my house apart and found my old oil stained tatty one and put that back on in pride of place.

Ive made a few mistakes in my day but taking that off and forgetting who I am was one of the worst

As he already pointed out that Vest went through a lot.... But if he wants he came blame me - I wont let him out on a bike without that vest! Maybe its superstition but that ugly, ragged, and old thing is the one lucky charm I believe in :)

Oh and you can all blame me for that Harley. After we sold our gorgeous XJR nothing could measure up to that pillion arse comfort I was used to.
