Just a quick one guys, when making a plug for a mold out of mdf and foam what is the best way to seal the mdf?
The plug will have mdf sides and foam interior so ill need to tape the foam. Would it be easier just to tape the whole lot? Its quite large (car dash board and console)

Try Sanding Sealer..soaks in and sets hard...sand it and seal again...nice and smooth

I'd use a coat of auto primer putty fills voids easy plus sands easy then a coat of acrilic rattle can in gloss , then you mould release over that before gel/layup
