my missus has bin inspired? by you lot to learn to ride now im not gonna teach her as i have too many bad habits[^] ..and no patience
so we re lookin for a 250 thats easy to learn on ,very cheap [in case she changes her mind ]and advice [8D]
im not too up on the regs here regarding the learner stuff but she likes the look of the little bandit so maybe something along those lines :D

Afew boys here ive heard say the Spada 250 is a great lil bike!

being South of the boarder I would also have a look at the CB400 Super 4 which is my personal fav small bike and i am 99% sure its learner legal where u are.

buy her a Jet-Ski and a helmut.Water is much more forgiving than tar.A 6 speed 3 volt dildo has more power than a Bandit 250,according to rexie.

A few girls I know like the Suzi Across ... mainly because it has a false tank / storage.. big enough to hold a helmet (or other girlie items) also a few of the nurses at work ride CBR250RR's ..

dont get her a bandit then they are too faster than a cbr. and the front wheel will be in tha air all the time.

Lots of info at http://www.stayupright.com.au/.
VTR250 and GPX250 seem to be popular choices and hold resale value.
NSW has a LAMS scheme which means things like GS500 and Kawa ER-5 are OK for learners.

250 bandits arn't that bad to play or learn on. there are 2 defferent types 1 has a grey motor (which is very similar to the across) the other has a black motor witha red rocker cover which has varialbe valve gearing (i think) and a lil more power.http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/upload/88210376375583.jpg

A bit of info on grey imports.
http://www.overclockers.com.au/wiki/IK's_Grey_Import_FAQ
there is one shop that does full page ads in Motorcycle Trader, getting some bad press from the kiddies on the CBR250 forum.

Out of all the bikes mentioned the VTR250 is the best bike of lot bar none
Its a bike that will do anything trip to QLD/race track/comute/scratch on the weekends.
you could get one for as little as 4grand and no its not just because i own a and work for honda
we see a lot of bikes come through the place and there the best bike by far do your missus a favour and get her a VTR mate shell love it and you for getting her one.

I know a band looking for a good drummer if you want to get into more trouble 8)

it is me blood mate my old band has just released their first commercial cd on the elephant label[took em 20yrs] im just waitin for the royalty checks to start rollin in ...as if

the reason i packed it in was partly due to smashing my left arm to bits riding a bike for a livin and i got fed up bein the only one with a van, only one sober, first in last out, humpin all that gear about[but it was fukin mind blowin playin at glastonbury in 84]so mind blowin i have truoble remeberin it:} any way ive got 4 chapters of a book on the experience ill publish if i ever get round to finishin it :}

i messed about with the bass for a while.. havnt touched a kit in anger for a few years but evry time i see a live band... well u know how it is 'the i can do that' syndrome kicks in
id love to play again ..i sing as well [no feckin jokes ]
dunno if my style of playin suits evry one tho kinda nick mason style of drummer me
