Can I just say, I'm pretty new to the streetfighter style, and love some of the work out there, some real good lookers on here, and in the streets.

Anyway, Hi guys.

Sorry, I didn;t really intro myself very well there.

I've been riding for a while now, and decided to try moding my bike to the streetfighter/cafe racer style.

Have a 2000 SV650S which I moded, about 90% of the way through.

Look forward to some pearls of wisdom form the veterans etc.

Thanks for having me.

Oh yeah, I won a subscriptiion to Rapid, and that's what got me interested in streetfighters, as I was a cruiser man previously.

My Mods include:
Black paint
Bar end mirrors
head light unit
LED indicators with relay fitted
Woodcraft footpegs
Tail tidy
Trailtech vapor dash, fully wired in (and set to original k's).

Needs:
Fork seal
Better paint
Better head light unit
Could probably do with a tidy up on the wiring as well.

Any suggestions on things like paint schemes, or other mods I could look at would be much appreciated.

Cheers, I'm a member at svdownunder (sv650s) and they were some help, but I think this is the place for the best advice.

I like the SV, I do still prefer the cruisers though, getting a little old for the RSI.

Are there any pictures of your SV around?

On a what?!!!!! Don't do it man! stay here on the dark side. oh yeah, welcome. Enjoy. Get some fat bars on it, makes them a whole lot more comfortable. Also go down one tooth on the front sprocket, this equals a lot more fun.

That looks very nice, Xa-Mont, was hoping to do something with my exhaust, maybe not as custom as yours, perhaps just a short can, painted black.

Not too sure, as I said am more of a cruiser man, but may hang on to the SV as a weekend/track bike.

Thinking of putting on dominator headlights and use the windscreen from the current light as a cowling etc.

We'll See.

Banditrod, I understand, I'm not a very likeable person.

80s Freak, the SV650S already has a smaller front sprocket than the standard SV650, I found out about the "fun" the first time I rode her home from the shop, one wheel across every set of lights, all by accident, now it's on purpose, but then it was accidental.

Thanks for all the welcome messages too by the way guys.

Welcome mate, don't rush in to buying a Harley, first enjoy actually riding a bike.

I have enjoyed the first 15 odd years of riding.
These past two on a sports bike have been quite exciting, but more expensive than any of the first fifteen.
Don't get me wrong I love my SV, but I miss my cruiser's comfort.
Hopefully, I can have the best of both worlds, and won't need to sell the SV.
