Some of u may remeber about 12months ago I picked up an 83 GSX750 roller off Fish... It looked a little something like this...

Well, I'v slowly been collecting parts for it ever sincen here's where its at!
I picked up a Bandit12 front end off RevheadPete,

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/011.jpg

Had to grind out the original stem n have it pressed into the bandit yoke.

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/014.jpg

Now thats back together & I'v de-seamed the yokes n sprayed them gloss black. Also have a slingshot front wheel in there that I scored off Bladehunter & an wicked awesome set of clip ons thanks to Kev!

I'l be using a 5.5" slingshot rear wheel in a bandit swingarm (which i dont have yet)

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/775.jpg

A K5 rear shock n linkages

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/768.jpg

Ducati Monster headlight

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/769.jpg

1990 GSXR750 engine

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/764.jpg

4 into 2 exhaust

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/766.jpg

& some slingy rear sets that I'l be modifying

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/510.jpg.

I'v recently found a set of original body panels for a good price too, along with a fuel tank that turned up in the post this morning!
So far, I'v cut back the seat to bring the original tail unit in line with the sidepanels

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/763.jpg

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/777.jpg

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/776.jpg

I still need to take a grinder to the rear of the frame n move the mount back to make it sit all proper like!
http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/778.jpg

Aaaand, heres how it sits now!

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/797.jpg

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/798.jpg

Basically the plan is to build an 80's style cafe racer using original, modified bodywork. Have the frame all braced up, the engine will have some fettling & I'l figure something cool out for paint. [^] It'l be a slow build but should be pretty rad!

Yeh surt, thats why the frame will be braced Yoshimura stylee! Been spending a bit of time trawling thru OSS n its given a pretty solid direction on how I want to go about things!

It needed it mate! This model was never hugely popular so its taking ages to find the parts I need, but I rekon they'r making a come back. A few are starting to pop up here n there! Its definitely something different though which I love!

I've got a 750 slingy arm, spacers, axle & linkages if you have trouble finding a bandit arm. Same price as the wheel if ya interested.

No thanks mate, the slingy arm is wider than the bandit at the pivot point. Bandit arm will slot in with a pair of top hat spacers, much easier! N I'v got one sourced, jst waiting for it to become available. Im in no rush tho...

Little update! The posty delivered a pair of K8 GSXR1000 master cylinders n switch gear! The throttle tube n switchblock were supposed to be with it but were sold seperately after I'd already paid for the set! :( But, the seller on fleabay refunded me $40 to make up for it so all up they only cost me $70! Pretty happy with that!

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee325/GIX711/Kickin%20it%20old%20skool/004.jpg

& yep, Im pretty seriously considering converting the engine to hydraulic clutch for something different! If it ends up in the too hard basket this'l end up in the forsale section soon enuf LOL...
