I might be thinking of getting another project in a month or 2, depending on funds. Thinking of buying a more modern (FI) bike, hopefully 2005 onwards. Will be looking at maybe a Gixxer, ZX10 or newer R1. Once finished I'll prob sell my current bike (or maybe the new one).

what good sites are there to look at for bikes. Have the laws in Vic changed in regards to registering a Rep write-off? I also noticed a few nice bike up in Brisbane on Manheim Fowles, but would it be possible for anyone to inspect if that would be the case? If so, has anyone ever used their online bidding system and is it easy to use?

All this is still in the preliminary stages, but had the thought and thought I'd ask around

pickles is the main one.

I'm pretty sure the laws are still the same in Vic... not sure what happens if you buy a bike that is listed as a writeoff in another state that previously would have been known as a rep writeoff... anyone?

True Rod, but don't see that many on the bay of e. Sometimes I see people who have bought them from auctions and repaired them then try to sell them, No VIV or RWC.

Also you can get around a viv check by buying another frame with a clear title

Really? and they don't mind you whacking whatever engine into it? (like for like i mean)

So you could get a stat writeoff, then get a clear frame for it and you would be sweet?

Yep as long as the frame you buy has a clear title you just tell them the motor was fucked so you put another one in

I'd sy importing a frame would almost be as difficult as importing a complete bike

the frame wont have an australian compliance plate,so it would be a pain in the arse.
