Not positive about bikes, but I'd say it would be the same as a car. As soon as you add a supercharger or turbo, you have to get an engineers certificate. I called the RTA about it a couple of weeks ago in relation to a car.

It effects emissions on a bike so if its a late model bike it will have to be emissions tested to prove it still complys , early bikes didnt have much in the way of emissons controls so don't have to much issue fitting turbo's or chargers to them is less hassle. Technically you can increase your bikes power output by 30% before needing an engineers report.

I spoke to one of the guys at chopper works who are fitting turbos they say there is no law in Brisbane appart from the decibel level and it has to meet emission standards with a fuel injected bike this shouldnt be an issue

Increase in hp of more than 15% requires a end cert in Vic

15% you say.... well i should just do some print outs and carry them.
7psi is only an increase of 10%:D

Several Turbo Hayabusa's around Brissy.
At least 3 or 4 have been members on here.
Never seen a legal one with a mod-plate yet.
