G'day all.

Finally finished, what, I'm dubbing "The Adapter-Adapter Annual"!

Spent a lot of time and effort knocking this 'custom' trophy up and I hope you guys like it!

Rod, that's what the welds actually looked like on the ventura rack adapter adapter. Awesome trophy by the way.

For those of you that don't know here is a bit of history about the 'Adapter-Adapter'.

I had a new bike with a Ventura rack, but no bag rack came with it. I borrowed a rack off a mate thinking it would fit, my first mistake.

After some scrounging around I found some tube late Thursday night before the 2010 NFR 'welded' it together with Pappas' gas-less mig (that also had a bad connection which we found on the last weld) that wasn't working the best. After many blown holes and welders flashes, the result was a piece of <s>crap</s> art. A bit of black and no grinding gave it 'character'. The 'Adapter-Adapter' was born, a thing of beauty!!!

Once installed, loaded, and on my way down the M7 I began to see its weak points. Every undulation in the road had the rack and bag bouncing like a springboard! I watched my shadow after big bumps praying that my gear would not be strewn across the Highway.

After some vigorous campaigning, a snappy name (the 'Adapter-Adapter) and smooth talking I managed to secure best home-made part.

I wanted to give something back so I turned this..
