Nah, blueslips are only supposed to be a safety inspection.... Check tyres, brakes & lights work etc.... The rest shouldnt matter. But theres alot of places that make a big deal about other things when I doesnt matter....

I just gotta a blue blue slip and fronted up to the rta.

I had a 88 750 with a 91 mod 1127 engine in it, single sided swing arm and a k3 gixer seat unit on it.

Passed the blue slip and that was it for me. No enginers reports and it was rego'd as a 750 as well but with a new engine number.

I went to a car place i dont think they knew the difference.

I did get questioned about it at the registery ( the different engine number) and i just said i didn't know anything about it it was in the bike when i bought it.

The guy behind the counter had to call over a manager to over ride the system because he couldn't work out why the cc'c kept going to 1127 from 750 evertime he put in the new engine number.

She tried it and just said over ride it and leave it.

I walked out smiling big time.

I must say i was lucky , but ha it may be worth a try.
