moving to rocky!!

hi guys, in the next 2 or 3 weeks i will be moving from the gold coast up to Rocky (to follow a woman would you believe!!!!) yes i know, don't even go there ok. anyway, was wondering if there's anyone on here from rocky/yepoon area? looked on the north queensland section but all the posts are pretty old.
i guess that its either a ASF wasteland, or they're all too busy building and riding to log on.
i will be taking the trusty triumph with me, so keep an eye out for a black 98 t509, with polished rims, tail tidy and tapered bars

hey k6, i"m a truckie mate (open HC) spent 15 years doin it in the uk, also warehouse/storeman qualifications too. I'll be living in Kawana at first, then we'll be having a look around for a bigger place. Girlfriend works at 4RO/zinc radio stations in Rocky. I'm getting a resume sorted over the next couple of days and then should be ready to roll. Driving up from the coast on Monday with the trumpy on my trailer.

hey k6, just googled humes and I'll be in Carara Drive (off alexandra street) which is about 750 metres from your place. let me know if there's anything available mate. Got a forklift ticket, crane truck and gantry crane experience too :-)

Mate my brother works for a transport company based here in Rocky called S.J. Sanders, go and have a chat to them they are pretty good to work for and are usually chasing good drivers.
I'll ask the manager here if we could use another bloke here. ;)

Spoke to the manager mate and we are only hiring through Adecco at the moment go and see em and tell em you want to work here ;)

yeah mate, seems like the employment agancies are the only way to go. will be looking form monday, once i sort out some details and stuff. doesn't seem to be a shortage of employment available here but, and the wages are a fair bit higher than on the coast (which surprised me a bit to be honest)
