Moving closer to city.

Cant go bigger than a 6m x 9m without issue's with distance from
boundarys and drainage into storm water system. 6m x 9m means I
can use a soakaway pit and go closer to fence.

Was going to do it ourself's but both flat out at work and doing
up another house so ended up using "Titan".

Going to cost a little more than normal as we are lifting the slab
by an extra 400mm with crushed concrete to to sit in with future
plans we have, and cant get a concrete truck in so slab will have
to be pumped in.

Deposit paid and plan's gone into council.

Tony Nitrous

Council knocked back the plan's.
There's a 3m easement across the bottom of the property.

# Need to get easement removed / relaxed.
or
# Need to move shed 3 metre's in from bottom of garden.

Waiting to hear WHY there is an easement.
There are no services there and it cant be
used to access any other properties.

El_Hefty
29-09-2011, 07:43 AM
3m is a lot, wouldnt that have come up in the searches when you were buying the joint?

29-09-2011, 09:25 PM
2700 high on slab raised 400,maybe the neighbours complianed their dope plants wont get enough sun,or the sewer main is on their side, and retention pitt is an issue. What suburb is that champ? thats a good size block for Brizzy, did you buy it coz its got a fragipani tree?

DIY shed kits rarely come with decent/any instructions, and getting the slab anchors right is the critical point.Otherwise they are piss easy, takes me about 12 hours to build a 9x9..and i give gauranteed "erections".

Some properties have overland easements for drainage.

http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/water/regulation/pdf/guidelines/flood_risk_management/qudm_6.pdf

Page 7-1

Also rather than using crushed granite to lift the slab, you could use a waffle pod slab and form a drop edge beam to the perimeter of the slab. Just make sure it's 100mm thick top so you don't put any floor jacks through the slab.

Tony Nitrous

There are no services across the bottom of the property.
I've checked and council agree.

3m is sounding like vehicle access. Possibly the original
developer penciled it in as an option to get to the back
of blocks if he subdivided.

Talking with council again next week.

Davo, its the Padua area of Kedron.

Brisbane City Council say they have no initial objections
but It needs to be passed by Urban Utilities.
Urban Utilities say there are no services and no plans
for future use and will pass the info on to the Council.

Fingers crossed.

Not done anything to the bikes or ridden much in months.
Im 100% over being broke, Huge mortgage and several rego's.
Should have sold a couple of bikes age's a go but me being
an arse couldn't face it. Old house go's on the market next Monday.
Will free up some cash or at very least remove a huge mortgage.
Looking forward to being back into it, building, riding, buying,
not just sitting here grumpy and posting crap.

Lookin good Tony, whats ya plans for expansion joins mate? Are ya gettin it sawcut, or is that an expansion already grooved in???

Tony Nitrous
27-10-2011, 04:56 AM
I want the floor painted / sealed but need to check how long
I need to leave it. Sheds not going up untill next week and I
sold my old house yesterday "unconditional" so everything needs
to be out and in the new one in 2 weeks.

There's an expansion gap about one third in from the right so
the biggest area is now 6x6m. I have a quick-cut demo saw so
might run an cut half way through that if its needed.

pappas
27-10-2011, 11:12 AM
You can use a same day sealer within the first couple of days. If your putting an epoxy coating on it wait at least a month before puttinig it on.

Saw cuts should also be done asap to promote shrinkage cracks within the saw cut. It's pretty hard to get a demo saw to cut perfectly straight, you can get someone out for $150 to make some cuts for you.

Still collecting stuff.

Local Guy had a pair of 2010 B-King wheels (that also fit a Gen2 Busa)
Mrs bought them for me for Xmas.

http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/5222/goldwheels.jpg

Now have a spare set of wheels for the drags, or......
a pair of wheels for the Bandit or any future projects
if I drop on the right front end. Love the Busa/Kings radial brakes.

I've never liked the stupid plastic fake exhausts.
B-Kings my only legal bike and I live near a few cop hot-spots
for checking short rear guards, pipes, rego holders! etc,
(and i've lost a few points)

Not a huge fan of staintune, but its a legal option.

check out www.garagejournal.com for some ideas.....looks like your pretty well set up though. Meant to moving to a property next week and had picked out a 6x9 with double carport annex to one end 2.7 at the eaves. So looking forward to it.....cunts have fucked me over on the purchase of our current property and stand in front of this dream. Sombre and 3/4 pissed now but come daylight writs will be issued and the cunts are going to bleed. Dont ever stand between a man and his shed! Nice work on yours Tony.

No worries Tony, will be watching to see what you do with it.

Nothing straight away. Will depend on what motor/donor bike I find.
Gave it a clean and soaked a few things in WD40.

Been measuring up Air/Oil/Water-cooled suzuki parts/bikes I have.
Swingarms, wheels, motors etc. Lots of string lines, tapes and vernia's.
I can see why EFE motors are so tight a fit, and why dodge had to
cut the frame out to put a 6" rim in.

Funny thing I did spot, I have a couple of Bandit front guards,
shorter than GSXR11-G one's and wrap around the fork legs.
Even though the forks are different diameter and spacing,
30 seconds with a file to round off the mounts and they bolt straight up.

If I was that keen i'd buy the Bodis.
Only one I like the looks of.

Zards would be just as bad, I need the long stock rear guard
and the Staintunes come with an ADR db tag (god knows how)
Bike needs to be legal more than pretty and im not spending
big on it.

Not a drama. Might leave them on, might save them
untill I get my next bike and can chop this one about,
they were cheap enough to.

Paint the exhausts satin black, that would help in taking the focus away from the shiny mortar tubes.

Strangely I reckon the gold wheels look better with those exhausts..
