View Full Version : cb1300 fuel tank will it fit ?

does anyone one know if a cb1300 tank will fit my bike[ i think im over fb fuel tanks ] or can be made[judicious use of adjusting hammer}to fit ? as im pretty sure the frames are similar and iv found one in brissy:)

Make one you lazy shit Jim. If you like the top contour of the CB1300 tank make a new tunnel & bottom for it so that it matches up to your frame. You've got an Oxy in the back of the van and you know people that have done it so have a go.

well i do have the old tank and the bottom is ok ...but im not that confidant of my welding
btw how the build go....?

It's not that hard just time consuming. I did the one on my Build Off Bike. But, the result is a unique tank that has everyone scratching their heads over.Mine started out as a smashed Kawasaki Mean streak tank. It was originally as wide as the motor.

shame looks unique too... love the artwork if i habve any probs getting the tank to fit standard i do have the old cb900 tank spose i could cut out the bottom of that and weld it in to the bottom of the new tank

6 Hours? Fuck me! It was the same day wasn't it? Bastards. I do like the meaty shape of that Chop, but if I could do one thing to finish it off it would be to get that mudguard hugging the rear wheel at the back. Easy for me to say, maybe a fucker of a job to do, but just my opinion. That tank reminds me of the tear drop Z tank. Fucking great shape.
