Looking for information in regards to Gear position sensor to suit 5 speed box, something that indicates to a dash or computer what gear the motor/box is in.
I can obviously find 6 speed ones but won't work with what I am trying to do.
Any of the late model Bandits have gear position sensor??
will eventually fit to 1127 gixxer based engine.
Thanks.

A lot of the bike dash computers actually use engine revs and wheel speed to determine gear.
Would this help?
so does gs1000 g- and s !!

I'm thinking do I really need it?
apart from having a number on the dash does the puter need the gear position to deal with fuel and stuff?
I was going to use a later model ECU with ECU editor but having looked at one of the latest Dynojet dynos and the tuneability??? I think I'm just going to go for the Power Commander and standard suzuki pickups and sensors.
Probably still need TRE though!
