graunchy noise in tl1000s?

hmmm as it happens my TL100s has a new problem ,"no not me!"

on sat on way to work i heard a graunchy noise along with a vibration only when under throdle light or heavy wrist action and dont matter what gear or speed.

pulled over and chain was so slack rear sprocket is fucked as well as front and noticed that some links were seized?

but when you pull clutch in and coast no noise or vibration, i adjusted the chain again on average it has been getting adjusted every 2 weeks because of going slack and now it is almost at the end of the swinger 5mm from the end !! so a bit streched me thinks !!!

you can give a rev with clutch in and all ok let it out and grauncy and vibration then on way home it got worse,looked down as there was smoke comming of pipes and it was puking oil out from behind the front sprocket cover ,towed it home on tow truck"jim im a premium nrma member and get free towing "got it home pulled rear wheel ,brgs ok "new before AFR" sprokcet fucked chain very stiff and links sezied?? front sprocket also fucked, pulled front cover of and oil gushes out whilst running? pulled off front sprocket and retainer degreased and washed it all clean .
now with the other tl owners out there how much freeplay is in ur clutch actuator on the left hand side,ive got about 3-4 mm radial play and the pushrod has a groove about in the centre where it runs through the seal ,so oil is comming from this seal because of groove in rod but is it being exagerated buy the clutch rod actuautor having to much free play?

so for those out there have you had the same grauncy noise and vibration from a fucked chain "yes i know it needed a bit more maintenance but im a mechanic!!"
and what chain lube have you guys used for maximum protection ??
when i wash it every 2 weeks im cleaning it WD40 then re waxing with "sicoleane chain gel"

Last time I heard a noise from a tl it had broke a camshaft clean in half

yeh mate but mine runs good well appart from the overfueling issue lol,

i fired her up about 10 mins ago with front spocket off,and pushrod in only, runs good and no vibration or graunchy at all , slight load on rear brake to load up engine and gearbox and all good hmmm pushrod fell out and it shot oil out past seal, at least i know it has oil presure!!

and in case you lot ask ,it was booked in with sportcycles on the 19th sept for the overfeuling issue and was told because it was fightered it "may cost more" as the wiring was tucked away so i put the stock lights and re-routed wiring for better access of diagnosing !!

that said halfway down the clutch rod is the score but cant see it in pic!

didn't you say you have some float in the front sprocket looks like a perfect time to put some spacers in :)

hmmm yeah mate had some float !!
you remember that from AFR huh???
when i got home i pulled the cover off only to find the speedo hex bolt and speedo trigger was holding the front sprocket on opppps.
pulled the nut off and loctited him up good and then did him up !!
off the stupid things i said on the AFR ride you remember that !!
imm going to convince the wife that the engine has to come out for some work as the cases need to be split to fix problem!! yeh

pull it out give a good paint job on engine and paint tha frame black yeh hmmmmm how to convince her that is the question boys!!

check to see if the output shaft isnt cracked or broken ,i had a 900 blade had a crack in the out put shaft n under load it used to do a similar thing

look under the motor n see if the box has its own gearbox cover if so then no but if not yes u do have to ,hey ask Dylan he,d be up on this model,OH YEAH AND DONT RIDE IT

any way on the weekend fitted the chain and sproket kit , fitted the new gear actuator/push rods and seal.
job done test rode qiute as heel clutch felt so easy and soft to use , "thanks to a new actuator".

no oil leaks !!

but !!!! took it for a ride yesterday arvo and hit forth gear and bang!!! oil dumped all over tyre and locked up ????
wtf???

ripped it all appart and the side carrier bearing for gear shift drum shat its self !!!!! doh
