would have to be an old Z1000 bored to 1150 with a mild lumpy cam, gixer front end SSSA, (triumph or honda) classic black painted bodywork, twin headlamps, bit of chrome, black engine, deep tone shorty exhaust, jacked up at the back, tapered bars, corbin seat, aircraft filler cap, flatslides, multi speedo/gauges, belly pan and that my friends would be my dream bike (if anyone knows where i can buy this for $8 - 10k i'm in......................

One i've always had in the back of my mind....

ZR750 Zephyr (better shape than the 5 or 11)
GSXR USD front end, matching rear wheel,
braced arm and Ohlins (or similar) twin shocks.
GSXR11/Bandit 12 motor, or Big bore'd GSXR750 if
room was an issue.

A nice little nimble bike with lot's of go.

Years back I always fancied doing a Z650 / Gpz750 Turbo mix.
650 frame and bodywork, try and keep the classic looks,
Turbo motor and back and front ends. Use all Kwak bits.
Been done before but neither bike is as common as they
were when I saw it done.

Hey Tony thats what Im building :-)
Gpz750 frame gsxr rear end zx14 front fork z1000 bodywork and gsxr11 motor and a Rajay Turbo with a Ms2 Fi set up, exhaust out under the ducktail.
There is a giy on oss called chunky that has a zed 650 with a 1052 motor in it so it definitely fits

I'd def start with a Rocket 3.
Put some usd wide forks on it with much reduced rake.
Wide spoked front wheel, even wider spoked rear wheel. With black alloy rims and polished stainless steel spokes, fukkin thick ones !

Shorten the arse on it right back to the axle line.
Have some uber wide straightg bars on it.
Maybe a 3 into 1 pipe with a straight thro 4" dia tail pipe.
Massive chrome NOS bottle hangin off one side.
It would be black and chrome.

Fat stumpy streetfighter 2.3 litre. [:p]

Working on a fat arse Rocket 3 Classic at the moment just for something different. Exhaust is 3 into 1 with a 3" tail pipe and custom triple trees to change the rake. Stayin with the original colours, Phantom Black and Sunset Red. Should have it on the road before Xmas with engineers and Qld Transport compliance. Guaranteed wont be to everyones taste :D.
Next project could be a pre 2001 Daytona T595/955 minus the fairing. V Rod headlight, shorty Yoshi muffler, tail tidy, maybe USD front end, wave discs and slightly bigger wheel and tyre combo on the arse. Probably red frame with black bodywork and motor. Just a few subtle changes.

I'd start with a 84 750 pop up katana, maybe throw some Gen2 hayabusa wheels and forks on it. Have it low, loud and black.

and sticky as fuck tyres :D

Didnt like the nasty square'd area that both the
550 and the 1100 had behind the motor, swing arm
spindle area. The 750 frame had much nicer lines
and was a lot truer the the "old Zed" looks for me.

Had a new 750-C3, felt very soft and lazy in both the
motor and suspension but would have made a great base
for a project.

c3 thats around 94 isnt it mate
yer the 750 is much truer to the z1, kwka relessed a few 750's with wire wheels and 70s style paint
most people be had pressed to know the diff and yes i think they great for projects lol
wasnt that long ago and even still now they are a forgoten bike but there is some thing about the way they
ride that is so easy to get along with
zeph1100 on the zephyr forum is putting a gsxr motor in his 1100 well whats left of his 1100 lol
myself i have allways love the z1 shape as my uncle had them but i really love the z1r and gpz 1100 gt 550 etc
the 550 and 750 a lot easir because they both use gpz motors bike really all three so easy to work on its noty funny
mind u fault find spark probs on the 1100 8 plugs and 4 fucking coils yuck ask me i know lol

Spooky mate ? :)

I like the R3 but not in its current form.
No one has done a decent Rocket yet, some company called Platini? did a trick one a few years ago, but no one has done a fightered one I reckon? Could be wrong.

Its a fukkin beast of a bike. I took one out on a full day demo ride and had some fun. It was de-catted and had 3 into 3 x 2" dia straight through pipes.... [:p] 140 plus with 1 metre wide bars....

i think i'de start with a VFR1200, rip ALL the random crap off it.

Custom tail bit of a cross between a CBR1000 and a cafe racer.

Probably need a custom tank as well (to match the tail)

current gix thou front end.

Spoke wheels with black hubs and rims.

and some other shit...

I've always wanted to put a SV1000 donk in a tube frame buell with a chain drive to a nice swingarm, maybe a rex or gixer arm.

This, but fightered. I have the vfr, radial front end, ninja 250 seat, stainless headers and shorty can ready to go on, but not the cash for the supercharger.

If money is no object , a air cooled 1.5L 2 stroke 3 cyl stuffed in a lite nimbal frame like a gsxr400 with a rim mounted usd front end (aka buel but spoked rim) done cafe style. Single swinger at the back with a spokes at the back to.

Could be looking at 2 months to get a new shed up
and sell my house, if and when that ever happens I
might start looking for a crashed Gen1 Busa...

Start building something out of this,
(and another few box's I have stashed away)

I'd paint the trolley black, yellow just doesn't work with blue body work.

Was talking about this at work today,
and "what should THEY (factorys) have built)

I've always liked the mad Z1R-TC,
but in reality want to own/ride Suzuki's.

A very clean tidy GSX11ET/EX with a Mr Turbo stle kit would be fun.
The ET-TC that Suzuki should / could have built ?
