Howdy all
Im just haveing a look around.
Iv developed carpal tunnel from years of trail riding & down hill mountain bikes. So Im suddenly interested in street fighters, they are the only road bikes that I find apealing. Over the years Iv had mostly suzukis & yamahas so I'll probably stick with one of them, Id like a gixxer k1 to k5 or a new FZ1N but either way its going to be a few years as my wife & I have just bought a second property in Bonnie Doon.

BTW i got my user name from a old skool mountain biker named John Tomac - pronounced Toe - mack, he was my hero when I was a kid.

I hope to be out shredding asap
cheers Tomac

Thanx

Im looking forward to my first ride to Bonnie Doon, It might take a while for the $$$. Im thinkin the FZ1N might be better for touring than a gixxer (for me) & the weight of a Bandit is the only reason Id choose a gixxer over it. Iv got plenty of time to decide

Tomac was a big inspration for me, I never did get to own one of his bikes but my last DH bike was a Santa cruz VPfree, I figure thats close enough

Welcome Tomac, gixxer K5 1000 would be my pick out of the Suzukis.
But honestly Gixxers have been done to death, if you're buying a bike to fighter think outside the box.
Kawasaki is where it's at mate.

I like the qwakas but Iv never had one, I'll have a closer look at em. Thats the great thing about forums, everyone has an opinion, good, bad or ugly, either way it all helps. I no very little about road bikes, to be honest, until now, Iv never really payed much attention to them. I figure if Im going to convert to the dark side, it might as well be on a fighter.

cheers

Theres some mighty fine lookin bikes in there
Im not into heaps of bling on my bikes but I centainly can appreciate all the work that go's into it. My old mans got a boulevard with a spiderman theme on it & his done most of the work himself. Me I'll probably just go a simple black & white theme like my Down hill bike.

I whent to the kwaka site & the black ninja looks pretty sweet;)

If you are a ballet dancer you don't need lycra to help you look gay.

Welcome
