The best thing the US can do to sure up their economy is to declare it is going bad and have their credit rating dropped...

By creating a panic in the market most investors will fall back to the tangible assets like gold and US Government bonds (which can only be bought with US currency) - when buying the US Bonds they increase the value of the US dollar creating a demand for the it and effectively reduce their global debt by paying in a higher currency killing most private investment in the market at the same time.. sneaky but effective.

Unless you work in tourism. I remember those days growing up Red and our fuel still only cost 50c litre. So this bullshit is just us getting ass raped by the oil companies.
