i believe they are for the radiators. I'm sure you could work something a little prettier out though.

Not often I say put more plastic on it but those scoops are out there and not in a good way out there like a B-King...and welcome to the forum mate, good to see new people.

Yeh they're needed each one is a small radiator & also ECM is in the left pod !!!
alot of people reckon they look terrible & thats fair enough but i like em :) something different anyway
i would set an under seat rad mate i guess Erik was thinking of something else when designed the fugly scoopes

i don't think an underseat would cut it cooling wise.
im sure it will if u set it with under seat scoops and electric fan/s/

the rads only measure 200mmx220mm, 20mm thick each. the rest of the space is taken up with cooling fans, overflow reserviors, ecm, mounting brackets n ducting. some companies make smaller covers but look just as "interesting" i have looked into an underseat radiator and i believe it could be done. just need to find a new home for the battery, rear brake reservior, voltage regulator, fusebox n wiring n adapt a fan from a hogley engined buell. simple really? i like the look of the full fairing as it also utelises the earlier firebolt upper
