7/11 turns all one color (finally)

after 2-1/2 years of having a multi colored bike i finally got around to getting it painted.

Gibbo was the man responsable for the paint and he has done a fantastic job.

the wheel have been painted in the same black as the bodywork and the rims polished and coated in glisten so i shouldn't have to polish them again.

a big thanks to gibbo and harry at Black Edge Auto Body in Ringwood Melbourne for the great job.

its a polisport headlight unit from a bike shop.

the only reason the can is still in that position is cause i couldn't be fucked rooting around at the 11th hour before fools run to rig up a little shorty can that exit just behind the foot peg. i would then have to dyno it and go from there.

it is by no means finished so just take a chill pill and live with the can for now - if i can so can you.

gibbo, some guy painted it, i think he said he was from the internet. can give you his number if you want. will have to bring the tank back to you mate as we missed a couple of spots with the buff. must have been the beers fault. will worry about that another time.

they are just some mirrors that i brought from quickdraw about 2 years ago. i think they were call F3 bar mounts or somrthing similar

it is actullly black with 10% blue zerallic in it (is that right gibbo?)

so when the sun is on it it looks metallic blue but when it overcast it looks like straight black.

Fuck.... looks like I have to find another colour again lol... Thats the colour under my stock stickers on my GSXR11, was thinking of repainting it back to that. Now I will have to find another colour that isnt common on here (eg matt black lol).

I think the difference in our bikes should be the shape, design and overall build, not just in the paint.

If the only difference is in paint, then we aren't any better than the chopper guys or the nascar dorks, (all the EXACT same, but with different skin.)

What I'm saying is if 95% use flat black, but the bike is completly different, I don't see a problem with that color choice. If you like black, use it.

Deano, after all that fucking about this weekend I didn't get chance to tell you the bike looks fucking great mate, even though I did have to push it to get it started a few times. By the way, do you know where the headlight relay is? Sorry your weekend was so fucked mate. Next time it will be better, I promise. I did like the band aid as well......
