For anyone that doesn't already know, sadly Ricky and the boys have called it a day at the Motorcycle Performance & Dyno Centre in Lawrence Drive Nerang. A lot of members will remember them from the AFR events at Casino Airstrip where they changed tryes all weekend just to help us out.

Apparently things aren't what they used to be and after 10 years they have celled it a day.

A shame to see them go and I just wanted to thank Ricky and Joel again for being such great blokes.

Cheers guys!

They may be interested in selling off all their gear from what I heard (Dyno included). I already know of one interested party (who also found out that Dynojet will not service or maintain a warranty on second hand gear or some bullshit). Ricky's a bit cut up about it at the moment but if you're really keen for anything I could ask him if he wants to take calls?

It's a shame that they are closing, I don't know them at all but it's still sad.

There seems to be a few shops closing lately.

I think that you will see a few more shut up, before we start to see a bit more of a positive outlook.
Retail and general trade here in Toowoomba is absolute crap at teh moment, we are down 15k on last month and last month was down 10k, talking to others in business, unless you are supplying to the mines you are on your arse and it is breaking a few

But wait, there's more.....

Just got a text message from Ricky today and followed it up by ringing him. His ideas of leaving the motorcycle business behind him seem to have gone - like they say, "you can take him out of the motorcycle business but you can't..... blah blah, you get the idea.

Anyway, he's going to work from home out of his shed with all the gear he had at the shop (minus the dyno - which actually is for sale - or contract take-over anyway) and this has two interesting point to be made:

1. If you've got mate with you he working just outside of Canungra so you can have a great ride to his place then grab a lift home with the mates or
2. He is going to do a pick-up and drop off service - i.e., he rocks up to your place before you leave work with his trailer, gets your bike, then drops it back to you when it's finished - job done.

Best part of all of this is he's going to have none of the massive overheads he used to have in Nerang so he's willing to do it for half the price of any of the main street shops. ...and if you didn't already know or hadn't guessed, he's a top bloke and I'd rather give him my money any day over those high street souless chains.

So, take advantage of this by calling Ricky on 0407 298 707 and he'll sort you out.

He also said, with the all the spare time he has now he's not dealing with staff and other shite he'll get on here more often.

Right, so now you've been edumacated my work here is done.

You need to check that out as Dynojet UK have a fantastic level of service and support, I bought my Dynojet dyno secondhand, and Dynojet have been fantastic even sending me the upgraded software to run upto 750bhp free of charge. I've had nothing but good service from them and technical support on the phone whenever I've needed it, including when I changed from XP to Vista and had trouble reloading all my run files. Parts have been obtained in a very good timescale, and not expensive either. I thouroughly reccomend Dynojet.

If Ricky makes it onto this topic, his version of Dynojet support is slightly different to that one. Seems they do a good job in the UK.

Hey Rick, good on you and the best of luck i hope you piss it in as you obviously have the talent and the reputation..i dont know if it was a factor in your reasons to close and move home...BUT the more people and im talking the motorcycle community in general continue to purchase gear from the net then this senario of the good guys will close their doors and it will continue to snowball..didn't mean to get up on the soapbox but this cuts deep..all the best Rick
