Its a simple one Can someone tell me good cheap sources for bikes to be fightered .. do you go to the auctions a lot, I dont see much on ebay of use worth it and I am not sure where else to start looking for the best deals.. wreckers ? Ebay ? Trading Post ? Auctions ?

Work out what bikes are going to be your options first and that might dictate where to look. Late model sports bikes will be over priced due to major interest at auctions. What were you targetting? I mean, let's face it, there's the sweetest 7/12 you could lay your eyes on for sale on this site for just $4k. I'd jump at it if I didn't have the two bikes already. Actually, what is your price range as this will also dictate what bike you get.

At the time, the ZX9's were going cheap compared to R1's and Gixxers, so that swayed my choice. Generally speaking though, "cheap" and "motorbikes" don't belong in the same sentence anymore (unless your Ozkat and you get offered gixxers for $407....)

yeah I got my Daytona from the Auctions, $4500 with cosmetic dmage only on road for $5000 for a 2005 model with less that 5000km so it can be good if you are willing to look around and wait for the right bike.

I am considering a mid 90's gixxer as i love my Suzi's and I like the look of the frame etc.. I will just keep my eye out for bargins .. but I do want something that I can change round a fair bit ... it will be the first time I have ever done a build .. but more and more i look at the bikes in the shops and think 2 things .. 1. Everyone else has one .. 2. What could I do with that if I bought it 8) ... Thats been there ever since I crashed the F 3 years ago .. why replace things that are broken when I can upgrade .. and I dont want my F to be like everyone elses .. oh and there was a bit of .. how do I make this ugly bubble son of a b**** bike look better LOL 8)
