is there any call for this sort of thing in aus ? specialist bike recovery transport mobile repairs /tyres etc
i used to work for this lot in london
my brothers and i will be getting funds together in the next few years and wanna set up a family business.. wadda ya reckon ?

ps could do with some stats re numbers of bikers in given states etc seasonal shifts in riding,how to get national breakdown firms contracts

If you combine it with a good workshop it would probably be a goer. You'd need to look at the distances involved for a smaller operation, they're so much greater here than UK. But there's a lot of people with little motorcycle knowledge spending big on bikes who would use such a service.

there's these guys doing it in Melbourne but a net search doesn't bring up one in NSW.

cheers chalkie ..ill do the research as these type of vans [their called razorbacks ]are virtually self contained the workshop would only be handleing the major stuff
we ll have to have a long hard look at the logistics involved my youngest bro isnt due here for a few years yet but he has the bulk of the finance approx 200,000aud
when i was working london the bulk of our bread and butter work was courier firms with their own fleets ,the met police and the dealerships we also had a fair bit of work from the AA and RAC

would be good but lik chalk said, it would need to be contained to local areas, as you dont wana drive 16 hrs to the desert to change spark plugs

Yeah you do - they would just be $1000 per spark plug ;)

well sos was initially only in london and the home counties but he sent lone drivers out to the north and west with one van and a lock up and bulit up from there u wouldnt get the nmra s work until u were state wide so ud need a distribution center with a big rigid maybe for bulk stuff
