I finally bit the bullet and got myself a bike again. Yeah I know, I swore black and blue that Id never pay NT rego ($750 a year). I saw this and the rest is history.

1997 Bandit 1200s
42000kms on the clock.
British racing green in colour
Got newish front and rear tyres
Remus pipe
Gsxr750 rear suspension
braided lines front and rear

Wifes got the shits with me cause she knows I want to satisfy my ASF desires to modify and get performance ;)

Looking at this pic, Im looking at tidying up the engine by putting in a new gasket or two, a lick of engine paint, and a few dressing up pieces of bling...

Well done Mate.

Mine looked just like that untill I pulled the fairy off
and put the round headlight on. Cheap, Tough and Basic Fun.

As I was told, its hard to be original with a B12, but who
gives a F@ck, they are all about having fun. I like it.
Always thought the Mk1 was the best of the bunch.

My first ride on one of these things brought about my first attempt at wheelying a bike. I hopped of a heavy GSXF750 onto a B12 with a pipe and dynojet work and first pull of the throttle gave instant reaction of a massive cheshire cat grin lol... turn first corner and in 2nd and 3rd, hit throttle and up she came....

Are you going to pull that tupperware off the front?
Must be about the worlds easiest bike to do.
Only difference between the two was the headlight and mounts
and the horn. Do it do it do it !!!!

Id love to do it. Will have to look out for the brackets similar to your set from Gitzy. Had a bit of a look around at a few B12 threads for inspiration today lol..

Yeah, Gitzy is a star. I always like the factory mounts
not the aftermarket "wrap-around" type.
I had plan's for mine, hopefully now im moving house i'll
free up a little cash and get back into it.
(Kev doing a seat is good motivation too)

Mine's never going to be a show winning feature bike but
still be interesting to see how they go, we both started
out with something very similar.

I still think the tupperware needs to go though Mate....

the good old bandit, i love mine.
Jarrod I just pay my rego every 6mths it doesn't hurt as bad.
Rego $742.05 all up. CTPI $652.75 is bullshit, we have speed limits now and are still getting ripped.
