Hi blokes,

i need to reseal the kat tank now its welded up
to do that the old coating needs to come out

i've used brush-on strippers before, but cant really get inside the tank with a brush
does anyone know of a stripper that sprays in, or is liquid enough to be sloshed around?

keen not to take the paint off the outside of the tank, so a heat-guns out of the question...
oven-cleaner?

anyone got any tricks with this?

cheers

I just got an MCS tank kit for the rusty ZZR tank. It's got cleaner, etch primer / cleaner and the liner in the kit.

Haven't used it yet - but it says the cleaner will remove old tank linings.

I asked PPC the same thing, apparently you order their paint stripper but request the liquid version, then pour it in, slosh it around pour it out.

I need to do the same thing, I have the stripper sitting at home, just havent gotten around to using it yet.

try some ACETONE, I've found it seems to clean off/dissolve most things.

Try searching for the post by that Norwegian SAS dude.

Molasses or pebbles or something he used.
