FOR SALE: '98 XT600

hey everyone,

Going for a bit of a dirt bike upgrade.

flogging off a Yamaha XT600. It has about 19000 km's and runs really well. Its elec start and has been serviced regularly since my old man has had it (probably 1000 kms). Previous to that it was a farm bike.

My old man used it to learn to do a bit of trail riding on and has upgraded to a KTM530, it then became my learn to trail ride on, and i have gotten to the stage where i would like something a little lighter and more chuckable.

This is a great tractor of a bike and is mechanically VGC. on the outside it is a little rough looking (from plenty of little drops, but hey... its a dirt bike)

Looking for about $1k for it. For more details just ask.... oh and it has vic rec reg right now (not sure when til)

It's for my mate Trav, I showed him the bike & he said "no worries, I'll take it" He doesn't fuck around & is cashed up so we can pick it up & pay for it tonight or tomorrow or whenever suits you. Not interested in getting into a bidding war so if Jules' mate will pay more than a grand, go for it.

Jules said his mate may be able to produce 1200 and he is coming to look at it on Thursday. So if he has 1200 and gives it to me its his, if he doesn't its your mates Darren.

and as for dibs. I actually spoke to Jules at about 3ish (said his mate would probably be interested) and then again at like 7. after that I came inside and noticed TK's post, hence the reason I gave you a chance on it. If you hadda chimed in before Jules said anything about it it would have been yours straight away for 1k.

I just called Trav directly and didn't post on the forum. I called up my mate at lunch time (around 13:00) after I saw this post, then called Trav once I got the go ahead. I don't have access to the company phone reords, but if needed I could see if I can get them. Would that be good enough or do I have to take an oath on it as well and swear on my dead fathers grave whilst holding my hand on my heart as well.

Hardly being greedy... find another XT600 with under 20000kms around for that anywhere under 2k...
