well guys, i have a zx7 to f**k with, its no pretty sight, but it sure is gonna be fun.

first some specs.

3000km on the motor, yes 3000km
a barnett racing clutch
key is missing
otherwise stock (not for long its in my hands remember)

sooooooo the plan is to fighter this bad boy where the cbr250 left off, im thinking gratuitous amounts of fibreglass, some paint that is "sick as aids" and alot of bling for no other reason than i like polishing shit.

as you can she she is in WAYYYYY less than fantastic condition. but thats ok cos i got her for $600, so far already got me some renthals, some indicators, a headlight, some bar end mirrors and a few other bits n pieces

going to be epic, 2 green machines (this and my klx650 motard :D), going to have the green driveway of awesomeness, all i need now is a green ute.....

The forks have some rust and pitting on them, whats my best option, source second hand ones, get them re-plated or just knock the high spots down and dont worry about it?

I have a full key set for a 96 ZX7 in the shed (ignition, fuel and seat release) I could talked into parting with if you need it.

And I think Pav69 has a set of forks up at his place not sure if he want to sell or of condition but can't hurt to hit him up :)

yella, im having my lock re keyed or the reverse of that (key cut to suit lock) cos otherwise i cant get anything off the bike without the use of a crowbar

pav; isnt the front end of the latter models a smaller diam fork? is there any performance gain from the latter model forks? and if you still have a front end available how much do ya want for em?

also need front calipers if anyone has them beating around

If you're going to change the front end just do the whole lot, forks clamps and all. Just push your original stem into the bottom clamp if the newer one is a different size.

I've got a set of L model calipers which will bolt straight onto your J model ZXR 750, (only called ZX7s in the U.S.)
I rebuilt them with genuine Kawasaki kits 2 years ago & they have 1 trackday old EBC HH (race compound) pads im them (the pads were $110)
$100 the pair if you're intetested.
