How well does suade wear and last in the sunlight/ rain?
I have an 04 Z1k and want to do something different with the pillion seat, other than hide it under a plastic cowl.....
Any ideas?
Daz.

Don't tell me you've called the bike Elvis? :D

Fading would be a problem, but something like ScotchGuard for lounge suites might give it weather protection

Mad Mundy has a suede seat on his Gixer. He reckons it's fine but get the hair dryer on stand by if it gets wet as it retains the moisture (which would then go mouldy of course if you left it in a dark place).

Dont ya hate it when they look alright and are a bit wet then when ya get to their dark places its gone mouldy ?.I take em straight back to the pub and have another look around and pick one that doesnt look mouldy...... Shuffles away from fattys corner.

I have blue suade coverings on my GSXR no probs with them and looks cool as well.
I have called it Elvis so there.:D

Not realy they are grey suade where ya put ya arse with dark grey leather sides and have a waterproof membrane and treated with a water proof spray and they are ok in the english shit weather and have not gone mouldy so I think you should be ok in AUSS with them :)

These are my actual seats. The pic is from the original egay listing from the geezer that was selling them . My bike is red and black oh and the front seat has been cut down a bit.
