anyway......he spent over 20 grand on it then decided it was to uncomfy

it has

KTM superbike engine kit with akro full Ti system
KTM quick shifter
Lots of akrapovic carbon bits
KTM/ Akro rearsets

and some other bits and pieces.

it is sooo fucking fun to ride.

Very nice. For what these can be bought for (even new now) I reckon they make a great choice if you want something a bit 'different' to the Jap bikes. Definitley one for me to consider when I update my Speed Triple soon but the comfort issue, due to my height, will more than likely be a show stopper [V]

Love it. There's an interesting comparo in the latest Performance Bikes between the old RC8 and the new RC8R and they love em both. The repeated comments are about roomy and comfortable they are compared to the new micro litre bikes, so is it comfy or not?

it is very comfy. everything is adjustable too. rear subframe hight, bar hight, rearsets.... there is alot of options.

yeh its a cunt at any speed under 90. they come with two throttle tubes and one has a less aggressive profile to make them better at slow speeds, its the only part tat didnt come with the bike so i might order one and try it.

i put a smaller sprocket on the front and it made a massive difference. i wasnt using 6th at all around town with the stock gearing.
