Hey guys

I've tried to get time off work during the week to get a shop to do this, but I can't get a break.

So I'm wondering if any one could help me out and let me know if you know someone who might be able to do a small cut 'n' weld job on a weekend in Brisbane (Pic attached)

My bike isn't about being pretty but I'd like it to be safe so I'm going outside of the garage for this: I need the sub frame cut down and the holes left to be welded over somehow.

I'll mount a rear light/plate bracket on the back and indicators on the back after but I'll probs figure that out myself to keep costs down.

Cheers!

Seriously though I almost did the same myself but I want it to feel a bit more finished when I'm done. :)

BTW, just in case you were interested, i just bought that taillight from third gear (http://www.thirdgear.com.au/) here in vic (like 1KM from me) and it looks/feels decent quality. the casing for the light is plastic, but it seems ok quality. and it is hell cheap for an eMarked tail light.

Hope your bike is already registered because there's no chance of it passing a Safety Cert with no rear end.

Just thinking out loud.....

what if you extend a hugger past 45* of the rear axel?

yeah I'll be extending the hugger to the 45* rule soon enough. I think I'll get a mini fairing done for the tail next also...at which point I'll post up again with a thread titled along the lines of "fiberglasser needed for a small weekend..." haha xD
Apart from that, I've done my homework - I'm breaking no rules outside the hugger.

Also, Joe (aka crazymofo) should be helping me make some brackets up this weekend, cheers.

Yeah mine arrived yesterday - extremely happy with the quality - and the price! :)

Might not be so much the mudguard rule as the fact that the subframe has been (obviously) modified and might require an engineers certificate ??

Turns out my subframe had bolt separting the arse end from the seat back - so no cutting of the sub was required :D but Joe is going to fab up a sweet cover to clean up the naked tail left behind, which I'll post up pics of when done.

Super psyched. :D
