Hi again all I hope you're all keeping it between the hedges
Have a small problem I have a 99 1200 bandit motor to fit in to my 1990 slingshot frame ,when i got the motor the guy had already sold the 36mm carbs on it, but I have the 38mm carbs( with a 120 main jet )off my gixer , are there inlet rubbers i can buy or any ideas yous guys would have so i can fit the 38's.
I was also told if I use my old cam it will turn the gsf1200 into a gsxr style engine , is this a good idea or has anybody tried this ?

Many thanks from N.Ireland

Heat them up with a hair dryer. That jet sounds small to me but I might be wrong.

It will be a struggle to get them in. You can still buy new rubbers genuine. Bout $220 odd per set of 4

Tried the hair dryer and it worked no trouble , only problem is the 38mm carbs spacing is wrong and it won't fit .

Thanks again guys for your advice

The spacings on all the oil cooled are the same, watercooled are different spacings, check the inlet rubbers have been fitted correctly to the head. mainjet is too small for pod filters go with something like 145 or 150 as a baseline setting.
