Do you guys know what diffs were usually in an XA wagon?
I have whats left of one that had a 250 in it, and one that had a 302.
I'm hoping one of them is at least a 9 inch but I heard the borg warners look very similar.
Cars are rat shit and I'm taking them to the scrap heap tomorrow

A 9" diff won't have a removable rear cover (hat) and is all one solid housing.

You can only take the entire centre out from the front of the diff.

It'll be a borg warner if it was a 250

borg warner diff came out in all 6cylinder and v8 models,9 inch diff was standard in gt ,ltd ,only,it was an option ,i doubt your 250 log motor wagon has one ,it,l be running a 3:25 or2:92 ratio borg warner diff ,

Both wagons are minus the engines, totally rusted and fucked, I might take them to my place to get some power tools into them and see what can be taken off.
I have a bumper here somewhere I THINK is off one of the wagons - and another that might still be atached - I was going to chuck them on ebay at some stage. heaps of trim n stuff off them, glass, stainless, lights dashes etc. just a nightmare taking any of it off! most the nuts that are welded or pressed into the bodywork spin out and take a big chunk of rust with it!

Even a BW can have 28 spline axles diff much stronger than the 25 , but i think they were more in the xc fairmont and xd ghia
