Someone offered me this the other day.

98 Husaberg 600 FC Moto X bike, has had a complete engine rebuild, new tyres etc.
Wants $800 ono.

Are these worth the effort, someone told me you need to keep a full parts list in the shed when you own one ?

Dont know much about the early models but the later ones are real weapons. They do need regular maintenance like oil and filters every few hours. Try these two forums for info.

Mate has one goes hard from what I've seen, has spent far more time in the shed in bits than going though. To be fair on the bike though he is a little lax when it comes to maintainace.

Ive had a newer Berg, and mine was fine, but even the 05s were alittle suspect.
Ive heard the older ones are hand grenades, but for $800,you should get afew rides out of it,then when it expires, part out the wheels and suspensions, and you'll end up ahead. I think the wheels on that would suit most KTMs,and there would probably be a bit of interest in the suspension for all the street tracker builds that are starting to become a popular style of build.

Or,buy your own old XT or whatever, and start your own street tracker build???
