Hi guys, just a few quick questions about sorting a shorty muffler.
My Bandit currently looks like this:

I reckon a shorter muffler then hacking all that ugly plastic off the back would be a big improvement...

What is involved in going short? I have never had a muffler apart, don't know how to do it. And if I lop 100mm off the thing, how much louder would it be???

Just thinking out loud here...
Any advice apprecialted!

i did hte standard can on my 954, i drilled out the pop rivets on the end cap, then hacksawed the outer skin to how long i wanted and then used a quick cut saw on the baffle. it was about 12 inches long, bloody loud and looked awesome :) but then again it was a massive amount taken off the stock can, it was around 1/3rd the size of a stocko

hi what i did is bought a secound hand aftermarket pipe from the wrecker for $80 then made that into a shorty can you have to get one with rivets in it so you can drill them out. i just followed the post in the how to on the main street fighter page.
