WHO HERE HAS AN R1?...R1 2001 project perhaps.

I have a 2001 R1 and I'm on the edge of turning it into a streetfighter I dont know where to get the goodies nor do I know what is offered for the R1's out there. I know most of the equipment is custom built to fit but surely there has been people in this forum that already have been or are going down this path... Your help will be very much appreaciated. I live in the Dandenong district of melbourne if that helps with parts, places and so on....

Thanks...Actually find you by luck! was on the hunt for some race fairings, did a huge search for all sorts, come accross this and now tipping the scales if I should hit the street fighter look.

I still reckon Simon's R1 is the best street fightered version I've seen, but then again I never really liked the German arse ends either.

Was after a headlight, assembly for my 2001 model R1...... any ideas on where and what sort of options do I have.... any ideas guys ?

you should have a look around at as many pics on this site as possible, see what other people have used, then you'll have a good idea what you like yourself.. i personally am not a big fan af big round headlights, nor the custom noses, i prefer a 2 small lights about 5-7cm in diameter.. im gonna use some matt black downlights with some halogen globes... its up to you mate...

Try something different with your lights - look at some scooters and quad bikes - some of the lights are actually pretty trick.
