The koso/acewell way is tried n tested and is relatively easy. I would think perhaps u would need a wiring diagram off the bike that supplied the new dash to match up with. Also some digital dashes require sensors & whatnot to make the whole thing work. Not sure if this would be as crusial on dirtbike dashes tho. It seems to me that it would be alot more work!

Might be worth checking out.

Vapor dash's are very simple to install, and easy to set up. They are a tad smaller the acewell, so dont clutter up everything.

The Veypor units have a very slow tacho sweep, which often can't keep up with the actual rpm. getting a clean signal for the tacho as well can e a pain. I've ended up using a dyna tach adapter to take a signal from both coils, which works ok on my Zed1075J motored bike, but the rev counter still sweeps too slowly. Personally I'd go with Koso or Acewell.
