I bought this fighter early december last year of a bloke on the forum its an 04 Fireblade, Ive had a pretty good run out of it up until now when I got a yellow licky a few weeks ago for a bald tyre and broken levers. In the meantime a radiator leak popped up and the solenoid fd up and I ran out of time to get it fixed so ive decided to take it off the road for a while and build it up to my likings. Plus a whole lot of free time has just popped up.

At the moment Im just taking everything apart and giving it a good clean and seeing what I can do too it because im wating on parts, Im thinking a devilish red and black theme would be cool

Well nah I dropped it in the morning and broke the lever and my last barend mirror and got a yellow that same afternoon haha. just decided to fix it like that until i get my new levers cos everyones been calling me a spoon lately haha. Probably keep it for a spare!

Got my radiator of last night needs repairs for some pretty nasty cracks around some screw holes. And pulled the dash off might either just tidy it up or go the whole way and get a new digital speedo and german style headlights. But not sure if possible to replace the original dash with the Honda H.I.S.S system.

Does anyone know about changing the speedos on These hondas with the H.I.S.S. (Honda Ignition Security system). Ive got the original speedo and want too change it out for something a lil less bulky.

It was my understanding that the HISS system only affected ur ignition. ie: U need the matching key for the barrell etc... probably wrong tho. I think Large got a loom from the states that didnt have all that shit.

^I dropped it in the morning coming up to a set of lights and broke the barend mirror of and snapped the lever in half, I left my ticket for the big dayout somewhere and was frantically looking for it.. I found it at the bottlo and made my way back to the show on the bike and wasnt thinking straight and went and parked up in the main area where cops where out in full force, got done by a bike copper.

ATM I have just been tidying up wiring and moving bits and bobs to get it all back togethor too take over the pits, pick up my new levers, stator cover and mirrors from post office tomorrow then get my radiator back from the shop. Once its over the pits and I get some more funds I can start slowly doing it up too my likings.

Well I had been picked up a few weeks before and told the coppers I was getting everything sorted within 2 weeks and they let me go with a sturn warning after they caught me doing 17 kays over. The bike was in a pretty sad state off affairs as well. And the bike copper was pretty nice, I was pissed and stoned as well so got off lucky again I think lol. He could have wrote up a whole lot more defects than what he did.

I think my bikes on acid or some shit its flashing up all different lights on the dash randomly and making funny noises..doesnt want too do shit Im hoping charging the batt overnight will fix it, otherwise maybe a magic push start will do the trick...

Defnitely not normal. Have you ever been at a peak of a drug induced psychosis where your getting all sorts of hallucinations when your not even on the drug at the time? I have and this is the result of it, everyone that you affected at the time doesnt want too trust you again. Im happy to never see him again if he doesnt want too forgive me for my mistakes, I just hope no one wants to go and hurt me for the mistakes I made. I could easily run away from all these problems and start fresh somewhere else but id rather stick round and try make things right....

Have ya got any place to hang some tie downs from the roof bloke, to suspend ya bike? Its gotta be easier than bricks and a pallet. Even if ya dont, throw a length of timber in the roof over the ceiling joists, drill a hole and whack an eye bolt through. Its just some much easier to hang bikes up.

I dont even know what im looking at but the camshaft holders both have cracks throughout them n burn marks, the barrels had water in them and there was a funky smell when pulling it apart. Im thinking ive completely fried it. We tried bump starting it and it had no compression and was spitting water out.

My plan is too find a bike of the same model and try make a decent fighter. Once I get a job and a steady cashflow...

Did you try bump starting it after you had pulled it apart? That may have been a mistake and been why the water was spitting out ;). Good luck on the search for the replacement bike.

okay so ive completely torn it apart again i was hoping too get some advice on this, theres all these extrea knobs and holes, i want to smooth some off the shit off then fill the holes what would be the best way too do this and keeping the frame as strong as possible at the same time. The holes on the inside of the rails are they needed for flex or anything?
