I've know all along that putting a 6 inch wide back wheel into my Kat was going to take a fair few other mods, an offset front sprocket being one of them. Well, I can't ignore it anymore as I am getting close to being able to roll it around.

Who has had to do this for their bikes? Any tips on how to work out how much of an offset is needed? Where can I get one made/ modified to fit?

could you use two regular fronts
turn the splined section off the second one and weld it on the first one?

if you turn spigot landings on each they should line up pretty well (i think)

i made one exactly this way the other day. 3mm offset. used a 10b pilot bore sprocket form work and turned the teeth off a gsxr sprocket and ran a couple beads of weld and away you go.

That's what I was thinking, I just wasn't sure if it'd work.

Works perfectly on street bikes and drag bikes ;)

The front sprocket on a GPZ750 (83-85 Unitrack models) has the same splines and is offset about 6mm.
