Well, the Bulldog bash is more Harleys isn't it. I had a few mates from back home who used to go there

I would recommend you take a visit to the National Motorcycle Museum in South Birmingham area.

Its on the A45 between the M6 and M1 on your way down to London.
Easy to find, cafe, bogs, free parking and shit loads of the coolest bikes to drool over. Its right next door to Birmingham International Airport.

This is one opportunity not to miss while your here ;)

If you not too narrow minded, and like a little history
or like cars too, try the Coventry Motor Museum.
Free to get in and some interesting stuff.
Both land speed record cars, Military, Royal's cars,
few bikes, tractors, Bus's etc etc.

The Bulldog bash is rather more than Harleys. There is a full drag strip with run what you brung all weekend, as well as demo runs from top fuel bikes, funny bikes and Superstreet class, and the jet cars, and Eric Teboul on his hydrogen peroxide powered rocket bike. I'll be there with my Dynojet Dyno truck again this year, doing power/speed runs, I'm also in talks abot staging a horsepower shootout this year as it is the 25th anniversary Bulldog, and is going to be the biggest yet.
The Custom show is one of the best in Europe with a fair few Streetfighters in the show. I hope to have 2 possibly 3 bikes in the show this year. Large trade village selling all manner of bike related stuff, Funfair, wall of death, Adult tent with some very adventerous ladies.
There will be some big headline bands this year although the line up has not yet been made public yet.
If you are in the UK during August then the Bulldog is probably the best event you could attnd whilst you are here, it is the biggest biker party in the country, I've been going for the last ten years and this will be my 5th year working with the Dyno truck up there. It's a great party, with loads of guys from the UK scene bringing their bikes.

Ive got a caravan in Penrith, corner of the lake district, the other side of the Pennines from Newcastle. I might even have a bike over there for you to ride! let me have the dates.

Did Elvington once and tbh its basic as fuck. Two chip vans, a portaloo and little else. You can watch the bikes at the start and then the move away from the veiwing area rapidly. So you can`t see the strip much at all.

We rode up all the way in freezing fog mind... and I was hammering it on my oil burner Gix1100 with two guys on Busa`s. Might be a bit better in August ;):D
