Anyone kno the difference bewteen the two? It seem the 88/89 were the same but the 1990 L model changed n hence will not take the same big bore kits...
Any advice would be awesome!

Not to worry... OLDSKOOLSUZUKI to the rescue! 89 is short stroke, 90 is long. It all makes sence now! :D

J&K were short stroke. If you can, find a 91 750M same long stroke as the L but a different valve train set up (went to shims) made a bit more HP.

You'll get more power out of a <s>big</s> massive block 750 than a standard 1100. It all come down to coin... I think in the end the massive block 750 would be exy as bro but cool as fuck..

I'm gonna save for the 955:D

955 is very very tempting......only 97cc less than a slabby 1100 and none of the rego\ins hassles

I'm currently building a 1003cc 750 long stroke motor, with a T25 turbo, I can get those 750 motors to almost 1130cc but it ain't cheap. The 1003cc conversion requires Carrillo H beam rods, a relinered shortstroke block and spacer shortstroke head, 09 busa pistons. With a T25 blowing through a set of 34mm CV carbs from a scabby 1100 I'm aiming for 200bhp.

The crankcases has been machined, the pistons are currently with the sleeves and block which are being mated together as we speak. Once the block and pistons are back I can then assemble the dry built motor, to workout the deck heights and spacer dimensions. The pistons have already had a small amount shaved from the crowns to reduce the dish, noce the deck is set I'll work out exactly how much needs to be skimmed from the head to achieve the comp ratio I need. Once that is all done the crank will go off for knife edging polishing and balancing, and the head will go off for porting & sorting. I'm hoping to have the bike done later this year possibly in time for the Bulldog Bash, but that also depends on the guy doing all my carbon bodywork amongst other things.
