The SDR200 still tickles my fancy after all these years. DT200 motor in a chromed trellis frame. I used to borrow a friends and it was a whippet of a bike (105 kg), great wheelies though. I'd love to get my hands on one as a commuter

If your stuck for 2 stroke or any classic parts, try these guys in the UK?

http://www.wemoto.com/

They don`t get parts right every time, but they will always swap em or do a refund.

Got to share this one for all the original moped fans :D

This bike is the same year, same model and same colour as my 1st road bike in 75/76 ish. Me old man lent me the £235 to buy it brand new otr. "If" you could buy one now in this condition you would be looking at £3500 upwards.

Funky Mopeds...

Yes we did try pedaling them and no it wasnt a serious idea.:D
UK Government legislation bollocks at the time. The only way 16 year olds could ride one was if they had pedals.

The ignition switch key went in the left hand side panel, which was a shtoopid design for two reasons:

1. When you dropped the bike on that side as you do at some stage, it would bust the key off in the ignition switch. Sometimes theres not enough key left key to get some pliers on so you can`t start it.

2. When sat at lights with your ped mates and you were`nt alert, they`d reach over switch your bike off and ride off with your keys...[:o)]
