POWERCRUISE & QLD RACEWAY REV UP FOR IPSWICH FLOOD APPEAL

Queensland Raceways and Powercruise Promotions today announced a massive day of auto action for Saturday, February 5 at Queensland Raceway, Willowbank, to “rev up Ipswich” and raise much needed funds for the Ipswich Flood Appeal.

Titled Cruise For Ipswich Flood Appeal, this monster day of rev-head heaven aims to raise in excess of $100,000, with all proceeds going to the Ipswich Flood Appeal, set up by the Ipswich City Council via the Ipswich Mayor’s Community Fund.

Anyone familiar with the hugely successful Powercruise events that draw massive crowds right across Australia, New Zealand and now the US, knows what they can expect from the Cruise for Ipswich Flood Appeal. There’ll be track cruising, a show and shine, a monster truck, Motorbike Stuntz Inc, the Hitachi Drift Demo, kids rides, auctions and product give-aways.

All companies involved with the organisation and co-ordination of the event, including Powercruise Promotions and the venue, Queensland Raceway are donating their property, time and services so 100% of the money raised goes directly to the Ipswich Flood Appeal.

“There are a lot of people hurting from this event, so if you can help, please make a donation,” said Ipswich Mayor, Cr Paul Pisasale of the Ipswich Flood Appeal. “We are a caring community and want to ensure that those people who fall through the cracks are not forgotten.”

Entrants and Spectators are asked to make a paper note donation at the gate, while an additional gold coin donation is requested from those taking part in track activities. The generosity from those donations, along with the huge range of auction items is anticipated to amount to a massive financial “rev up” for the City of Ipswich.
