Turbo maybe? Maybe just some head work like port and polish, and shaved a little to bring compression up. Look at cams, timeing change and after all that re-jet. It would pay also to have second gear checked out, as these models had cheese for gears inside the gearbox. There isnt alot of meat in the block to bore out to much larger.

An excess of power is only needed to shift excessive weight.

Can you lose 30kg quickly?

Those R6s are fast with little monkeys on board

A jet kit and a decent end can does wonders for these little bikes. I had a ride on a fightered one a while back and it was pretty nice - wheelied off the throttle pretty easy and the power delivery was nice and predictable (IE wasn't lightswitch scary).

But if you really want lots more bang - get an R1.

Get some Keihin FCR or preferably a set of Mikuni TDMR carbs with the Yoshimura MJN concept for it, ditch the airbox, fit a decent full lightweight system like an Akra or Yoshi. Throw some high comp forged pistons in it, get the head gasflowed and ported, throw some new cams in it or get yours reprofiled, get 2nd gear undercut. That little lot should get you to around 120bhp or so at the wheel. A jet kit K&N filter, airbox mods to let it breath, and decent full system will see about 105bhp at the wheel.

Lots of useful info right there...

Depends how much more power you want out of it mate.
start simple with a good carb clean, good air filter and an exhaust, then re-jet to suit.
gets trickier(read expensive) after that with hi-comp, polishing etc etc.

If you arent afraid of semi-fucking the motor throw a shot on nitrous at it for shits and giggles!

Nitrous doesn't fuck your motor if you set it up right
