Ok, so thanks to Sharky I went home from AFR with a gen 1 hayabusa swingarm and rear shock and seeing as I had a perfectly good pop-up Kat in the shed, I thought I should pull it apart and jam these in.

Now that I have the swinger in place I need to mount the rear shock. I unfortunately don't have access to a busa as a reference. That's where you guys come in. Can
someone please take a couple of pics of hayabusa rear shock mounts, maybe a few quick measurements and a rough idea of the height and angle of the shock for me.

Thanks in advance

That's good Todd, at least I have an idea of the angle and how far the shock should poke through the swingarm now. Thanks mate

I have my Blue 02 model sat in the shed and an
05 frame with a swingarm but no shock or linkage.

If you need any more pic's or point to point measurments
post up and i'll see what I can do.

My other Busa frame,
(ignore the timber and bungie's holding it in place)

Show's a better pic of the top frame mount in relation to the arm.

If im measuring the right bit's,
Top mounting point for the shock,
Bottom front mounting point for main "banana" link
(not the dog bones)
Both are parts of the frame,

Centre to centre..... 298mm.

Just to be a pain, can I have the distances A to C and B to C. Even if it's just to the outside of the swingarm pivot.

Not easy to measure spot on.

A to C, Top shock mount to swingarm spindle,
centre to centre looks to be around 170mm

B to C, Bottom link mount to Swingarm spindle,
centre to centre looks to be around 140mm.

I figure even if you could measure it accurately I'd still fuck it up, so near enough is probably good enough for me.

Thanks Tony
