dad sent me pics of there rental in natimuk just about flooded. it is on about 3ft stumps and got to within 1 foot in water height to going in the house. the whole block is under water and the shed right out the back has bout 2 inches of water in it. the house is right opposite the creek. the house to one side has water in it cause it is one ground level the other was saved with sandbags.

water went down alot this arvo they can know see the front yard. if they get the 200mm they forcasting it is not looking good.

i would put the pics up but i am 2 lazy to get a photobucket account.

Just walked out and checked the rain gauge (I'm about 50k's south of booster) and it was overflowing with 110mm in it from monday morning. Not heaps here but constant wet and humid.

You guys need anything just holler, heaps of room for a family of 6 or more if needed here.

Well guys and girls, weve had some fun here today. Woke up to a 200 metre wide river at our front gate, and a car flooded up to the windscreen with a woman needin rescuin. Pretty amazing. Couldve started a business draggin out all the idiots that tryed to tackle the flood water and were getting stuck. The entire town of ararat was cut off today on all six access roads into the town. It just got pretty real for us today. Is the river still risin up your way rod?

Just got off the phone to Rod. Shit is hitting the fan up his way. He's been sandbaging in Dimmy and Horsham for the last couple of days and the water is not far from Randals place in Horsham. Predictions of 1 meter plus over the highway to Dimboola.

Redmohawk
16-01-2011, 06:53 PM
Fuck not good , is Ok here unless we get another downpore (Rochester copped it bad though) is almost at the same level as last big one prob 400mm below last time but really moving fast, on the positive it will go down fast here.

Not good for down stream though, wont be pritty for Echuca.

Freddy Kruger
16-01-2011, 08:11 PM
wasnt too bad here with the rain. the front yard flooded up to where we knocked bricks out of the fence so it wouldnt get any higher. the next day tho when the water from north started flowing down river is when the shit hit the fan. 2 of the local ovals were under water by about 4 foot or so, a pub became a swimming pool and the carpet place needs to be aired out for a few weeks. the town was pretty much cut in two pretty much except for those with 4wds, like me :)and guess who was on the wrong side of town when the water started rising haha its alright tho, not often the bottom of the ute gets a clean.

How's Dimboolah Rod? Is the wimmera hgh or what, hope you got plenty of sandbagging done pal, lost a couple of cause ways & the old rail bridge in Happy Valley, Vic. Does not compare to what will happen to Dimboolah or Horsham if the Wimmera bursts mate.
Hang in there,More showers this afternoon maybe.

The town is still getting over my 30th but as far as fundraisers go it would be better off giving the cash to people in charlton or kerang or the northerners they need it more than we do

Redmohawk
21-01-2011, 05:38 PM
Doesn't need to be "in" a town to help it. If AFR was to be held at the Heathcote park dragway maybe the owner would be interested in banging something together with us for a fundraiser for Flood assistance like Red cross donation or something ? Might put "US Mad Bikers" in a positive light for once to.

Iceman
21-01-2011, 06:48 PM
Red, it is not going to be at Heathcoate. Unless the owner is your uncle or something and you can pull a massive favor, we just can't do it.
