Some of the footage on tv,is pretty full on.
Its gonna takes years to fix all the damage done in just days.

see, if the roads were made of rubber (like a certain someone has suggested on multiple occasions) then they would be more flexible and this wouldnt have happened!!!

all the back roads and low lying areas were flooded and the highway was blocked and diverted up through the back streets, but the main bridge never went up - I ditched work early cause I could hear a storm brewing up stream and thats all it woulda taken to cut us off completely but it never came.
We have a bob cat here and I'd love to get in and help clean up where it matters most but its a clunker of a thing and I'm not ticketed or an owner operator so when shit breaks it takes a few weeks wages to fix! - otherwise I'd be up there on a tilt tray :( - shits me

Good to hear you and family are safe it is a low lying aera:) My seaway out the back and roof worked. I wish I could go and help too. I'm not looking forward to the cyclone they say will hit around the 26th
