Your kinda restricted with the bottom arm of the subframe. If you cut it off and created a new one you'd have a lot more clearance and that tail would look pretty good. If that is not an option then what you have done in the last photo is definitely an improvement. Your chain looks like it's seen better days as well mate......

What about trimming the excess side plastic off the 1st one? slimming it down, and aligning it with the lower tank/frame lines.

Hi mate!

both of them are much to big for the rest of the bike..

maybe you find some inspiration in this treat

I reckon you should bolt that armchair to it and put one of them cones on your head and pop down to the next sturgis rally for a laugh.

both are too big, cutting down the first one wont look right from any view but the side im sure. the tank is so small and the lines are so odd that it really needs to be a very small tail to fit in. I think r6 or zx6r tail, newer ones. maybe a z1000. new gsxr tail might go good as well.

If you are on a budget the blue one is ok I reckon. The fold line on the tail needs to follow the subframe line and probably needs to be fitted closely to the main part of the frame and under the tank if possible. If that makes sense.

Otherwise something smaller like the guys have said, probably nothing too angular to better match the curves of the tank.

ive got it, sv650 tail. that would look perfect, i mean the earlier smooth tails. abusa nailed it with nothing too angular.
