Fellas - without access to a hydraulic press, what is the best way to remove the bearing from a SSSA?

Thanks =]

not done one but piece of tubing the same size as the arm with something like a socket and a big vice or maybe use a bottle jack insted of a vice and find something heavy to push against

Depends on bearing type etc but I'd bet its caged needle bearings in Aluminium swingarm, with stepped hole for bearing ?

If your not concerned about stuffing bearing but dont want to mark inside of bearing cavity I'd use a bit of soft wood with a hole the swingarm bearing end will fit into to support the swing arm but still let the beaing fall out, maybe a rag over it to reduce marking of swingarm. Then use a piece of mild steel pipe cut in half lengthwise to make a half moon long enough to slide through from one end of swing arm to the other to tap out the bearing softly.

Or if you have a slide hammer (easy to make witha length of steel rod and something heavy with a hole in it to slide over the rod bolt through one end of rod to catch weight and grind a lip on the other end to use to pull) hook lip over inside edge of bearing and little taps move side hammer around so bearing comes out straight.

If there isn't much of a lip on bearing to work with, a few (use a couple if you can fit them and put them in so the openings dont line up to make it stiffer and use ones with a broad C depth) comression C clips with an outside diametre similar to the bearing outside diametre squeezed and inserted past bearings then let spring out can give you a better edge to work against in a pinch (but you'll prob stuff the C clips getting the bearing out) Then just use the largest bit of pipe that will fit inside the swing arm and slide down to the C clips from the other end and tap it out.
