I've got a little project started and need some advice. I picked up a DR500 with the idea of building a street tracker. The drum front brake just isnt as good as I remember from 1986 when I last owned one. So i've tracked down a front end from a DR600 with disc brake and was wondering how much drama i'm in for trying to fit it?
All I can find on the web is the fork dia for the 500 (36mm), and no other dimensions.
Any help will be appreciated

pretty damn sure if you get the DR600 triples it'll be an easy swap.......at a guess I reckon the stem lengths would be the same

have a look here mate if you know the exact years you can check the bearing sizes.

Thanks Andy, I had a quick look and the bottom bearing is the same, so it might not be too much drama after all. Thanks for the link.
Im guessing a few beers will make it better
