i do alot of highway klms to get to twistys and i also commute 80klms a day for work so i am after something that will last a bit longer that the usual sports tyre but then still have good grip in the corners i have tried michelin but i after a change

I haven't tried the angels yet aRod but I have a mate with them on that pretty much just uses his ZZR600 for commute so kinda hard to say but I'm on my second set of pirelli dragons the last 1 I got just over 2500 k's out of the rear but before that 1 I had pirelli supercorsa but got a piece of glass through it after 1500 k's and not real keen on plugging so went for the dragon and the tyre before that was a corsa and a piece of fucking blue metal went through it after 1000 k's but even after having a bit of a shit run I still stick with my pirelli's cos I know they stick like shit to a blanket and as any of you know who have had a big gutser like myself tyres are not something to skimp on.

I'm a bit late Rod seen as though you've purchased them.. but I know 2 mates use them and swear by them. "best tyre ever"

also there is their world record, it says a whole lot for them hey lol..

"On Northern Italy’s Nardo ring Pirelli broke seven FIM 24 Hour endurance records with the Angel ST, the new rubber shod on a Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki Concours 14. The motorcycles averaged 130mph for almost 3200 miles on one set of tires"

Ps.. You should give us a review when you have them fitted.. I'm eyeing them off for my next set.. I'm running Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa's, done prob 3500kms but I ride like a girl..

ive used them, green and on the track, set the pressures to 34f and 39r and hit the track, brand new, waxy surface and all....

on the cbr 600 i was asked to ride/shake down. they preformed flawlessly, no slides no slips, didnt over heat, i was VERY surprised by them, no idea on milage, but grip levels were great, good profile, fast heat up too.

i ended up laping a 1.27 around QR with them on my first session on them, on a bike i dont ride, green tyres and all, so it says something about them, they worked and worked well.

ive just got a set for my wifes bike too... and will be looking to fit a set on the k4 when its back on the road.

cheers.joe.

Not tried the "Angel's" but I fancy a change from
my "same-again" Pilot Powers and Dunlop Qualifiers.

Shame your not up here.
Last week Mick was doing GPRa11's,
$370.00 a set. Fitted and balanced.

yeah i got my last 2 sets off mick and they were gpra11 and they were fucking awesome for grip but a bit short on mileage IMO so i thought fuck it time for a change

Since my licence and my bank account have both taken a beating,
i've been running Michelin Pilot Power 2CT on a couple of mine.
Nothing amazing but wear is acceptable and grip's OK if your
riding like your licence is on its last point.

I used to run Pirelli Diablo supercorsas and Dragon evos on my bikes, I was given a pair of Metzeler RaceTecs to try out, and they are now fitted to all of my bikes, fantastic grip, warm up quickly, and unlike the Pirellis are very good in the wet, you can get some pretty repectable angles of dangle in the wet with the RaceTecs, whereas you'd be riding on marbles or on yer arse with the Pirellis. I run the K2 compounds which are great, the mileage isn't too bad on them. I get race scrubs from a couple of mates which although a little raddled on the very edges still have 5mm of tread in the centres. I hadn't used Metzelers since the early 90s with the old ME99/ME33 combos, but the racetecs are in a league of their own, the new version the interact is even better.

yeh but the god botherer gets that outa a rear with a few burnouts, now his tyre's may actuly caus accidents on a bike that has power, on his big scooter there ok

True mate, on a big power machine I'd feel a whole lot more comfortable with more traction too. Every bike suits a purpose ;)
